This is a demonstration of coma, an optical aberration where a parabolic mirror cannot focus light from a distant source into a point when it is not centered on the vertical axis.

Move the cursor around to control the direction which the beam is coming from. Notice how as the beam's direction grows further from the center, the light starts to deviate from a point focus.
